Originally from Tokyo, Kaori brings over 15 years of experience as a lifestyle journalist, media consultant, and international project manager, having worked in Japan, Singapore, Australia, and France.
Her passion for wine flourished after relocating to Southwest France, where she discovered many exceptional yet underrepresented wines that remained unknown abroad.
"Why are so many great wines still invisible outside of our borders?"
This simple question led to a clear mission: introduce the hidden wine gems of Bordeaux and beyond to the Japanese market.
After completing wine certifications including the WSET Award in Wines, technical training in oenology (MFR), and an internship at the prestigious Jean-Pierre Moueix négociant house, she launched Bordeaux Wine Communications in 2023.
Since then, the agency has helped wineries, hospitality professionals, and lifestyle brands develop tailored export and marketing strategies, offering a full suite of services.
Her Mission : To help Bordeaux and French wine producers successfully enter and grow in the Japanese market, while supporting hospitality and lifestyle businesses with strategic marketing solutions that attract the right audience.
